Irton participa do 2º Congresso Mundial da IndustriALL Global Union

O presidente do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Metalúrgicos de Marília e Região e coordenador Regional da Força Sindical, Irton Siqueira Torres, está no Rio de Janeiro participando do 2º Congresso Mundial da IndustriALL Global Union, entidade que representa mais de 50 milhões de trabalhadores dos setores Químicos, Têxtil, Mineração, Energia e Metalúrgico. A cerimônia de abertura do evento aconteceu na ultima terça-feira, 4 de outubro.

O ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva esteve presente na cerimônia e destacou a força da classe trabalhadora na soma de esforços para a manutenção de direitos e por mais conquistas trabalhistas e sociais em todos os países. Ele ressaltou o Congresso da IndustriALL como um importante rito na luta do movimento sindical para um mundo mais humano e igualitário.

Segundo Irton Torres, Lula falou sobre a crise política e econômica do país e a importância de fortalecer o papel do movimento sindical na defesa dos direitos dos trabalhadores, independente dos governos.

Já o presidente da CNTM (Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores Metalúrgicos), Miguel Torres, destacou que o principal desafio do movimento sindical unificado no Brasil é lutar pela manutenção dos direitos trabalhistas, sindicais, previdenciários e sociais da classe trabalhadora, contra as propostas anti-populares em tramitação no Congresso Nacional e pela retomada do desenvolvimento econômico.

“Defendemos também a solidariedade mundial entre todos os sindicatos e trabalhadores na luta permanente por justiça, liberdade e trabalho decente“, disse Miguel Torres para um público de mais de 1.600 participantes, dirigentes sindicais de todos os continentes.
